Business Event Planning

Sherrie Sokolowski

Coordinating large events can be time-consuming and frustrating if you don’t know what you are doing. Professionals reach a point in their career where they want to branch out and bring their expertise to a live event. After that decision is made, what’s next? My guest this week has had years of experience in the business event planning arena. She will share with us the ins and outs of it all and give us some insight of WHO should or should not hold a live event.

While striving to be one of the most efficient, organized and professional event planners in the industry, Sherrie Sokolowski has set a goal to make event planning personal through building relationships and making event planning enjoyable and creative.

The foundation of her event planning career started with Bill Glazer and Glazer-Kennedy Insider’s CircleTM as Bill Glazer’s Executive Assistant and quickly took on the additional role and responsibilities of Event Manager and Planner. Sherrie organized hospitality services, social events, major national events, hotel negotiations, and overseeing all event staff. Through determination and hard work, she quickly learned what it took to run smooth, successful, and profitable events.

Over the course of her career, she has worked with a number of speakers ranging from national celebrities, local up-and-comers, sports heroes, internet gurus, entrepreneurs, and established relationships with major hotels from the West to the East coast, such as Marriott, Renaissance, Sheraton, Westin, Hyatt, Hilton, and many others. Moreover, by working with the best in the event planning industry she’s combined the wisdom of experts and colleagues alike, and obtained a level of knowledge, wisdom, and understanding that enables her to set her business apart from the rest.
